Posting using wordpress plugins

Imagine what you could do if you had the tools to effect real change.

This is a very powerful tool.

Method posting is one of the most powerful techniques that you can create.

Popular guerrilla marketing techniques that relies on blog posting as a great source of traffic and incoming links. While reciprocal links are a necessity if you wish to promote your website and rank high in the search engines, blog posting delivers another important element of search engine optimization – one-way links.

When posting on blogs you are allowed to include a live link in your message.

Of course, this is different from one blog type to another, and some webmasters may have comment moderation turned on, so they will edit-out your links if they are not appropriate.

Blogs are one of the most interesting and dynamic Internet phenomena and they are, as many veteran Internet marketers already know, a constant source of traffic. This is why you should visit as many blogs related to your website topic and comment on the articles and posts they have.

Remember that you can place a link in your post, but don’t overdo it, as you can easily get labeled as a “spammer” if you do so. The one-way links that come from blogs may really boost your search engine rankings, especially since there are plenty of blogs with a high Google PageRank.

How to Get Your Messages Posted on Blogs

Most blog owners are actively managing their blogs and they will instantly delete any message that has even a small resemblance to anything commercial or spam.

Here are a few useful tips on how to promote your website through your blog messages without making your comments sound like a sales pitch:

* Make sure to actually read some of the posts on that blog and create a custom message to suit the context. Don’t go with a template comment as that will quickly backfire and chances are a large majority of your posts will get deleted within days.

* Don’t place a lot of links in your message. One is enough. If the blog allows HTML, make sure to insert a keyword rich description in the link anchor, as that will boost your page rankings even further.

* Add valuable content with your message. You know how important article submissions are and how blog owners are used to posting whole article on their blog. Do the same with your message – don’t post a 2-line message. Instead, create an article-like comment that brings some updated news on a particular topic and then adapt this message to the context of the blog you are posting on.

* It’s a good idea to select 30-40 blogs that have high traffic and excellent search engine rankings and be a constant poster. At first, convince the blog owners that you are not a spammer by posting relevant comments without any links or promotional language. Once you prove to be “one of the team” you can insert some non-intrusive links to your website, which they will produce excellent results!

knowing your wordpress

So your interested in installing wordpress, but your not an expert well thats ok really because you can learn how to do it in about one hour or less.

Interesting topic, probably ends up in the warrior support forums but contrary to some popular thoughts I will opine at least as a representative of the opposite opinion.

There are a number of very good reasons why you should learn how to download wordpress.

If you ever want to learn about how websites work and how to maintain your website then yes you will have to download and learn how to manually install wordpress.

It really is not that hard to do, yes you will have to learn how to use Cpanel to upload files and to configure wordpress, you will have to learn how to use Cpanel to setup a database, and assign a user id and password to that database.

Again its not that hard to figure out, yes it might require some reading or take advantage of one of the many free videos that are available, you can even head on over to this website and learn it all.

Besides all those very good reasons, there is one reason why you really need to install wordpress manually, it is called the identity factor.

When you use an automated script installer, like others have suggested in this thread you identify yourself to the server as close to a super user account.

LAMP,

Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP

When you use a script identified as a user which has privileges above your access level, which is what your doing when you use one of those automated scripts, you have to do so with an identity that is capable of performing actions that result in the installation of the wordpress script.

So, later lets say you decide to create a membership and you use a complex plugin, which runs on PHP and uses wordpress, you might very well end up with a permission issue because you are no longer using the identity you formally used to install wordpress when you later attempt to make a change or a modification you are now a different identity, you could have some problems.

Now most of the time this is not a problem, but unless your on a dedicated server in which case we would not be having this discussion anyway, you are not running the box, which means that someone could come in and install a permissions based utility then again you might have a problem.

One final thought, of all the wordpress websites that get hacked most of them are installed using an automated script, had two clients that called in this morning saying they had been hacked.

sure enough when asked if they installed manually or not, they did not.

Out of 45 websites this morning the only two that got hacked had been installed using an automated script installer,

I think that really should tell you everything you need to know…

Video Advertising

Video is becoming one of the most popular methods of effective communication online.

read more below because advertising as you know it has changed forever.

What you may not know about advertising using video could hurt your business.

800 Million people view videos every day…

If you are not using Video to reach your customers you are way behind the game.

Web Design Mistakes

What do you think about designing websites.

Sometimes simple is better…

Do you think that a poorly functional website design can kill your business?

The truth may be Yes Yes it can

bad designs, equals money lost…

It means that you may end up with an ugly website, and even worse, it might not attract any traffic at all, because believe it or not, I have seen some truly ugly websites that actually worked well to attract traffic, but There are plenty of mistakes in the world of web design. Let’s have a look at what some of the top design mistakes that people make every day.

This is the number one biggest mistake that so many people make, it will kill you with the search engines.

1. Too Much Advertising
When you’re trying to make money from your website, it’s all too easy to overwhelm your site with ads. Put yourself in your user’s place and take a good hard look at your site and ask yourself if the ads feel intrusive.

Does the site look like an information source or does it feel more like a page-holder for the ads?

These days, if you advertise your website takes two steps backward.

2. Plugin usage.
You have to keep plugin useage to a maximum of 1 type per page. If you’ve got Flash, then you can’t have a media player, or if you’re using Java, then no Flash. It’s not as bad to use the same plugin twice, however.

So what happens if you over use plug ins, again your rating goes down..

3. Flash in websites.
Please, don’t use a Flash intro on your website. They have been so overused that they’re becoming universally mocked.

4. Unclear Layout and Navigation.
Many websites, especially business sites, suffer from some kind of disease where the very simplest task takes 10 steps. If users are asking you how to do things on your site, then you need to improve your layout and navigation. If there are certain tasks people want to do frequently, put them on the front page.

5. External links, too many…
There are 2 kinds of links: internal (to other parts of your website) and external (to other websites). For the benefit of your users, it’s best if you mark external links, either by making them a different color or using some kind of a symbol (a box with an arrow is the usual one). It’s also good to make the external links open in new windows, so people aren’t leaving your site altogether when they click them.

6. Linking errors.
Some web pages are designed to show links only when people put their mouse over them. While this might make the design look nicer, it is not very user friendly. Instead, use a clearly contrasting color for links, and preferably underline them. This makes them more visible to the user, thus more user friendly.

7.  Email Links.
Always clearly mark a link that will send email (a mailto link) with the word ‘email’. If you turn clicking a name into send email, you’ll annoy users who expected to find out more about the person.

8. Broken Links.
You should check your links regularly to make sure that they all still work. There’s nothing worse than finding a site that looks useful, only to find that it hasn’t been updated in years, so most of the links don’t work. While a website does mostly run itself after a while, that doesn’t mean that you should neglect essential maintenance.

9. Strange Fonts.
Stick to the most common web fonts: that’s pretty much just Arial, Georgia, Tahoma and Verdana. If you use more obscure fonts, then most users won’t have them — and those that do will find your text hard to read. The only place for non-standard fonts is in your logo or headings, and then only if they are displayed as an image.

10. Badly-sized Text.
It’s important to keep your text around the standard size. Making text too big or too small makes it hard to read and annoying for many users. The best thing you can do is use relative text sizing (not pixels) that allows the browser to respect the user’s preferred text size. You should also consider offering buttons on your site to decrease or increase the font size.

Auto blogging failure.

Do you run an auto blog and just cannot seem to get it off the ground?

Did you buy a product that promised would deliver traffic and cash but failed…

The top reasons why Auto blogging is a failure.

There are several really compelling reasons why autoblogging is failing just about everywhere it is being implemented, however that is not the most important reason why Auto Blogging is in danger of extinction.

The number one reason, is one that you may not at first see when your thinking about using a plugin to generate content for your blog.

The reason is simple, content is quickly becoming a commodity that can be claimed as intellectual property and or copyrighted content that the owner claims is being wrongfully used by an autoblogging plugin.

For example, lets say that writer XY, writes for a magazine and gets paid a nice fee, for writing an article, the magazine now owns at least part of that content, so what happens, when blogger XX, uses an Auto Blogging plugin that automatically captures part or all of writer XY article and publishes on your blog.

Well for one thing, you might be in line for some trouble, though right now the chances are less that this might become a problem, however in the future, what might surprise you is that the search engines may see the possibility that in the future, they might become a target of litigation, (getting sued, hauled in to court)
If that begins to happen then the search engines might be found to be willingly participating in the act of distribution of copyrighted content via its search engine.

Now just in case your legally challenged, (and don’t worry it happens to us all)

This means that the recent changes that Google made could have been made for more than just surface reasons, it might have allegedly had something to do with insulating the search engine giant from being sued because of how the search engines were indexing content provided by these so called, (auto blogging) plugins for wordpress and other scripts.

Now, if this were found to be of some accuracy, then the website owner, might be next in line for notices of legal entanglements, since the search engines are now taking steps to insulate themselves from this type of behavior then the next logical target now becomes the website owner, or the website blogger.

If that happens, then there so very serious issues to deal with and it is something to seriously consider as a legal issue, since, most of these autoblogging plugins are easy to spot, via search engine robots, then that means eventually those people using these plugins will end up with some serious problems which could end up costing you a lot more than the cost of the software script you purchased to automatically post content to your blog.

What this means is that the day of the autoblogging plugin are about to end not because of the reason you may think but simply because if you use these plugins, and you do not create your own content, then you could end up loosing your domain, any money you made as a result of your “soon to be criminal activity” since everyone knows you can not profit from your crime.

The thing here is to take steps to not be associated with content scraping and what is really theft of someone else property, hard work, and effort.

Dont be an auto blogger, because you might someday find it was a really bad idea.

wordpress developments

Content management is the number one most needed but most often

neglected service.

What can wordpress do for you?

WordPress is a CMS, or content management system

How do they work and why are they so often hard to understand.

There are so many CMS software solutions out there, you might imagine that it is difficult to
find one that is easy to use.

WordPress is one of the most versatile and scalable website platforms in existence.

It’s ease of use is unparalleled by almost anything (except perhaps a toaster), and it’s functionality can be expanded within seconds by installing plug-ins. In this article, we’re going to focus on what they are, and some examples of what they can do.

To begin, what exactly are plug-ins? In essence, they modify software by “plugging in” extra code. This code can do anything from automatically make posts, add extra pages, and on occasion even play annoying music that can’t be shut off. Most plug-ins run independently from the actual WordPress installation, running in parallel.

So, what kind of plug-ins can you get? Almost anything. Let me give you a little exercise – go into your WordPress admin panel. Click the plug-ins menu, then “Add New”. Think of something you want on your blog, and type it into the box. Hit enter, and look at the results. Chances are, somewhere on that list, there’s a plug-in to do exactly what you were looking for. There are plug-ins to increase your Google rank. There are plug-ins to automatically get rid of spam comments. The list is endless.

Some people, especially if new to WordPress, may miss some of the time saving features in the system. When you write a post, it automatically saves itself as a draft every 30 seconds or so. This means if you don’t post, and you accidentally close the window, the post is saved. In addition to this, let’s imagine you’re going on holiday, but you update your blog daily. Not a problem – on the post page, just above the “Publish” option, you can schedule a post to go live at a later time.

But what if you don’t actually want to write a post at all? WordPress comes in with a built-in “Syndication” feature – this basically means that it looks at websites you specify, and copies over interesting posts. You can even use some of the aforementioned plug-ins to filter these so you get specific content. What if you hate the way it looks? No problem, just head into the themes menu. Explore the hundreds of themes other people have made – it saves time on making your own, that’s for sure.

The only real way to find all of the features you need in WordPress is experimentation. Sure, you can read articles, ask friends, but the only true way to learn is by teaching yourself.

Blog Marketing

Writing for the internet and beyond…

How can you develop your writing skills…

Developing Blog content

Is it easy or hard?

Can you create content that people want to read?

Publishing online is one of the most popular and important methods of marketing today.

Blogs what makes them worth reading.

Marketing is a powerful mechanism for selling and developing content, however with the recent panic among some
alleged, effected blog farms, at least in googles eyes, the race to delete questionable content is on the way.

Can creating multiple blogs for marketing really make money?

Blog marketing, and bloggers are media. The whitehouse among other places now recognize bloggers as member of the media, hence blog marketing must be the media agent. No the question is how to capitalize on that point and to do it now before the competition discover this landmine.

On way to use Blog marketing is to build your email list through the blog, and also to have your blog become that email list. By encouraging your readers to subscriber either via RSS or email is one way to do that. But how to you grow the subscriber list?

Make subscribing easy-Attach a link to each of your posts with a subscription link.

Stay focused-Keep your postings limited to the subject of your blog. it is easy when using blog marketing to make one quick post about your souse, children or the weather and it changes the whole focus of the blog.

Offer a Bribe-It’s an ethical bribe, in the form of a free ebook, report, e-course or audio series. Typically this only works with email subscriptions tied to autoresponders, because you want to condition delivery of the bonus on subscription. If you have a WordPress blog, use the free Feedvertising plugin to link to the download page for your free gift. Since Feedvertising links only show up in the feed (and not in the post), only feed subscribers will see the link and have access to the bonus.

Use viral ebooks-This is a spin on the ethical bribe strategy, but instead you let other people give away your PDF ebook or even bundle it for sale with other products. The PDF in turn promotes your blog. Check out this post to see how I bundled my free Viral Copy report with a book that spent several days at the top of the Amazon bestseller list.

Dedicated subscription landing page-Create a page that is dedicated to nothing more than obtaining a subscription, and drive traffic to it from your blog, AdWords, or really any other source you want. You can even put it on a unique URL, and add in the ethical bribe strategy to increase signups. For more information on doing this with AdWords, read this article, and then this one.

Following these five steps will have your blog gaining subscribers quickly, provider you are using unique relevant content.

Four things you should know

There are many more things that you should be aware of when
developing wordpress websites.
These four are important to your
wordpress websites success.

There are literally thousands of wordpress websites all competing for the same or some of the same niches.

1. Why your website must be different and unique.

2. What Pattern recognition software means to your websites success.

3. Updated content makes a huge difference to how your website is listed in the search engines.

4. Quality content and why it is the most over looked venue for bringing in new customers to your business.

Developing a website is not as easy as paying a small monthly fee for hosting or as easy as uploading a few HTML file or PHP file and clicking a few buttons, while it may seem that way when your looking at some advertising aimed at the non technical crowd, you might have seen that same advertising where they show you a nice website and say its easy and its only $4.95 per month, well yes, I suppose it is easy but it also does not work.

In the end if you purchase a $4.95 cent website, that is  what you will get a $4.95 cent website.

Lets talk about why your website must be different and unique not like thousands of other websites.

People want different, they want something that provides a great user experience, and they want something that others may not even know exists.

This is why your website should be different and unique because if people have a choice which one do you think they will choose, the millions of websites that all look the same or the few websites that make a unique presentation and provide a unique experience.

Pattern Recognition and what it can mean to your website.

What does pattern recognition have to do with how successful you website might become?

Simple, it is what drives many of the larger search engines, patterns are everywhere, everything you do and everything you see leaves behind a pattern.

That pattern is what Google looks at when it begins to decide how important your website should be in the search engines.

SEO keywords

Developing keyword content and how it effects your website.

SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is one of the most important things you can do for your website but do you really know what it is and how to get it because you cannot find this at your local walmart.

Well it believes in you and it changes so quickly that it would literally make your head spin around like the exorcist.

Can you really get more Search Engine exposure for your website.

There are some SEO companies out there that do nothing but fill your head full of what they think you want to hear and they often over charge and under deliver on services.

Perhaps you have heard all about how you can target SEO valued key words in your website and in your content.

Creating SEO optimized content is really not that difficult, the hardest thing is to pick and choose the best keywords for your targeted niche and to develop those keywords from a consistent data source.

Keywords are a fickle bunch and by that I mean keywords change and they change fast, just because someone does a search for one word last month does not mean that they anyone is trying to find that keyword right now.

When you first begin to develop content for your wordpress website you should carefully consider the best keywords to use, simply because using old outdated keywords is not going to help your website get the traffic it needs in order to be successful.

original content

The Value of Content just went up…

Developing real content for the new era in Search engine results.

What you may not know about SEO and Google could be killing your website.

This website exists to help communicate the importance of developing original content that will attract organic website traffic.

It is a method of writing, blogging, posting, that has been developed by experienced writers to help you get the most out of your content.

Over the last six months we have been focusing on a method of writing that would produce good results over time.

It does require work, however, it can be done and there are tools to help you develop that content faster and with more precision than you might think. Google issued a challenge to website owners, that challenge is to create more original content and less low value content, which means a little more work on you part, however, you can do this if you really want to develop good content it is not that difficult.

One of the big challenges facing the wordpress website builder and owner is the idea that you can get a free lunch.

There is no free lunch, that is why so many that try to get ahead in google fail to continue to achieve success online.

These are what we call short cuts or tricks that tend to work for a very short time, however many so called, SEO gurus use this to trick people into buying a particular product or service with the promise that they will achieve great SEO results.

Sadly this is far from the truth.

In one of the most heart breaking examples was a fantastic website that still get huge amounts of traffic, from many different search engines.
Except Google, we hired an unknown SEO agent to do some work, for us and over time we paid a sum of money for the work they did and the result was frankly horrible, we were de-indexed by google.  We asked them what we could do to fix the issue and never received a reply, we tried everything we could do to try and get it right, but still no result, that website is still de-indexed at google yet we receive over one million hits per month from many other search engines online we provide good clean content all original.

So in effect we are being punished for a mistake someone else made while working for us.

Apparently there is no reprieve even when they claim that you can submit for reconsideration, it has not resulted in any meaningful communication between us and google, on this one website, we have no idea why they have not indexed this website it is a great website, full of exceptional content, so be careful who you choose to do work for you because apparently google does not forgive nor do they communicate with anyone for any reason.
