Developing real content for the new era in Search engine results.

What you may not know about SEO and Google could be killing your website.

This website exists to help communicate the importance of developing original content that will attract organic website traffic.

It is a method of writing, blogging, posting, that has been developed by experienced writers to help you get the most out of your content.

Over the last six months we have been focusing on a method of writing that would produce good results over time.

It does require work, however, it can be done and there are tools to help you develop that content faster and with more precision than you might think. Google issued a challenge to website owners, that challenge is to create more original content and less low value content, which means a little more work on you part, however, you can do this if you really want to develop good content it is not that difficult.

One of the big challenges facing the wordpress website builder and owner is the idea that you can get a free lunch.

There is no free lunch, that is why so many that try to get ahead in google fail to continue to achieve success online.

These are what we call short cuts or tricks that tend to work for a very short time, however many so called, SEO gurus use this to trick people into buying a particular product or service with the promise that they will achieve great SEO results.

Sadly this is far from the truth.

In one of the most heart breaking examples was a fantastic website that still get huge amounts of traffic, from many different search engines.
Except Google, we hired an unknown SEO agent to do some work, for us and over time we paid a sum of money for the work they did and the result was frankly horrible, we were de-indexed by google.  We asked them what we could do to fix the issue and never received a reply, we tried everything we could do to try and get it right, but still no result, that website is still de-indexed at google yet we receive over one million hits per month from many other search engines online we provide good clean content all original.

So in effect we are being punished for a mistake someone else made while working for us.

Apparently there is no reprieve even when they claim that you can submit for reconsideration, it has not resulted in any meaningful communication between us and google, on this one website, we have no idea why they have not indexed this website it is a great website, full of exceptional content, so be careful who you choose to do work for you because apparently google does not forgive nor do they communicate with anyone for any reason.

so what is in a keyword and how do you find them?

Everything is about the keywords and how people search for those keywords.

What someone is searching for today they may not be searching for tomorrow, effective keyword research is all about

Getting inside the customers head, and knowing what they are looking for.

The thing is how can you discover what keywords you should be using and how do you use them?

Learning about keywords and how they can help your website gain the authority it needs to succeed.

Keyword Identification is the first step while creating your content for your site. Identify keyword related to your niche topics should be the first priority while creating web content.

The quality of these keywords is critical for a good ranking in search engines.

Not only the Quality but the Quantity…

Researching the right keywords for your website is the key, so that when people perform a search for a particular keyword phrase they will be able to find your site. So how do you do that will be the questions in everybody’s mind.

Look at this article it is separated into 3 phrases like keyword research or keyword identification, keyword selection, keyword placement, keyword density, keyword ranking and keyword marketing.

Before I go further I would like to talk a little about building your website for your business.

One of the things you should focus is clear SEO strategies like clean navigation, a search engine friendly website architecture so that search engine spiders or robots can easily gather information from your website.

Getting the most out of your website.

Once your site structure is done it is time to create the content for the site, which is the crucial part and where they keyword research, keyword density comes into play. If you follow these steps which I have mentioned below it is sure that your website can enjoy a higher ranking in search engines.

Step 1
Keyword Identification or keyword research:- This should be first step while building your content, because your content will be build around with the keyword and phrases which has been identified at this stage. Which is very critical and if not done correctly you won’t achieve the desired results. There are different ways to identify how people search on the web.

1) Think about what keyword would you consider worth while, as you search for certain products or services.

Consider the market point of view and not from search engine or SEO point of view.

Take Notes and  I suggest using a spreadsheet so that it will help you in the stages as well.

2) The other way is you can ask your own customers or friends that how do they search on the net to find that particular products or services. Usually all people think differently and might not use the same keyword phrase to find that product or services. Collect them and store it.
3) Keyword suggestion tools.

Now there are literally hundreds of these tools and there are 100′s of tools on the web some of them are free and other charge a fee.

I suggest using Overture keyword tool and Google keyword tool (free) and wordtracker (paid).

Type in your keyword and phrases into these tools you will find 100′s of keywords for that particular products or services is been search on the web every month. Also it will show how many times that words are been searched on the internet. Tools like wordtracker will help you to find that how many times these keywords are been searched and how much competition is there for that particular keyword phrases. If you focus on high searched keyword it would be hard for your website to rank well because of competition. So always choose a keywords that is less competitive, so that you website will rank well for that particular keyword phrase on the search engine results.

This method while helpful is more for your own analysis however, you can learn a lot about what gets more action.

4) The other way is if you have already had a website online check its web log and gather that keywords which helps people to find your site. This will help for existing website to recreate the content.

After these steps are done use your spreadsheet to determine the keywords It is ideal to have more keywords rather than focusing on a few words. In that spreadsheet matches the following keyword in terms like how many times the keywords are searched and how much competition is that keyword facing on the web. As I said before always choose less competitive keywords. Once these stage is over start constructing your website content with the identified keywords.

Warning this keyword will expire in ten days or less?

Step 2 Keyword placement:-Placing the keyword is very crucial, because if the keywords are not place properly the search engine spiders will have a difficult time in identify and storing information from your web pages. You most important keyword should appear on the title of the page at least once which all search engine given relevancy. Next the same or related keyword should be there on the heading of the page. Also use a related keyword while starting a paragraph and through out the web page evenly. The density factor is discussed below.

This is perhaps one of the most critical yet overlooked by 9 out of 10 bloggers…

Step 2
Keyword density:- Search engine robots are very intelligent spiders they can determine while some tries to cheat them. Some webmasters and SEO experts use keyword spamming or keyword dumping which is ethical for a good search engine optimization. If search engine spiders indexes a web pages it determine who much times that keywords has been used on a particular web page. So Keyword density is important. An ideal density would be anything between 10-15 % keyword densities on the page. Also use keywords which are related to that phrase so that it gets relevancy for that web page.For example When I search for a keyword “dog supplies” I found 100 of related terms which like “dog supplies online” “dog supply store” etc so think and figure out keywords which are more related to that topic. Also Sprinkle the keywords phrases right across the web page and not concentrate at a certain place.

At this stage you website content should be ready keep in mind with the 3 top priority factors. This will determine your website success or failure in search engine. The next stage is keyword marketing.

Keyword marketing:- Some of the techniques you will use as a off site factor rather than on the side, because it affects only the marketing process. As you all know all search engines give links more relevancies in the algorithm. So after your keyword identification, density and placement are over you should focus on marketing your site. Like site submission, article submission, link popularity while all these techniques are for increasing inbound links to your site. So you would be using your anchor text for creating a link pointing to your site. So here is where keyword marketing comes to play. You should use your key important phrase in these anchor text also mix up your related keywords. Keyword marketing is also vital for Pay per click marketing where keyword is the king. So gather keywords related to your business and use it widely in your PPC campaign. Pay per click industry is solely depends on keyword marketing. If you website want the maximum ROI (return of Investment) you will have to apply the maximum keywords while bidding your keywords. For example your website visibility will increase if you choose maximum keyword for your Pay per click marketing.

The bottom-line is to gain a high ranking in search engine use keyword which is related to your business on your onsite and offsite website marketing. Keyword is the king when it comes to content and content is the king when it comes to Search Engine Marketing.

The secret method that is right in front of your face.

every time you log into wordpress it is there waiting for you to see it and start using it, yet 95 percent of all wordpress users do not see it and fail to take advantage of this simple yet effective strategy.

When you edit a post, you have to go through the process of setting the time and day of the post, otherwise it is of no use to update that post.

The process of posting to wordpress is not really hard, however, writing and then editing can be difficult you have to be able to think differently when you are editing content, however, it is not impossible and it is definitely rewarding.

Did you know that most people do not even know the basics of updating a website?

Uploading, updating, creating more content, it is all part of what you need to do to get your website noticed by search engines.

Websites need many things, the most important of these is not content but Fresh content.

One of the most important things you can do for your website is to keep it updated, that includes fresh content, fresh posting, fresh content on your pages.

So the question is manifold, how do the search engines, gather information based on a website if it is updated with fresh content on a regular basis?

How does that effect the page rank of a website…

We wanted to understand a few things about how blogging works and why it is so important to keep your website updated, so we started an experiment, we wanted to learn more about what methods would produce more results and which methods would not produce results.

We tested out many different methods, we setup several websites, some we updated on a regular basis others, we just left alone.

What we found was that the more often a website was updated, the more traffic that website received.

This was not a surprise to us, we knew that it only makes sense that the more often a website was updated, the most often that website would show up higher in the search engine rankings, that only makes sense.

The thing is this, we wanted to understand just how important it was, so we took some other websites, and we updated them as often as it made sense, so now we have three sets of websites, one set, we just left alone, the other we created fresh content and updated it often, and the last set of websites, we just updated, without adding content.

As expected, and not surprisingly, we discovered that the website that contained fresh content along with updated content received more traffic, now that may seem like a cool and interesting study, however, what we discovered about this will challenge your beliefs about Google and the high and mighty PR, (page rank for the newbies).

Websites that had a higher PR, but was updated just as often as the lower PR websites, got less traffic than websites with lower PR.

That challenges the belief, that Page rank is the most important things in life, in fact even Google has begun to suggest that the idea that page rank is the be all end all of web master Yoga may not be justified.

In fact our own findings suggested that Page rank may not have nearly as much significance, as we used to think looking at traffic logs, we found that just because the High and mighty google assigned a high PR for a webpage, does not mean that it actually gets good traffic.

What, no way I thought that High PR meant that the website automatically gets traffic like you cant believe.

It gets lots of clicks, it is just the most important thing in the universe.

Surprise, Page rank has almost nothing to do with how much traffic that website gets…

Which is probably one reason why google is moving away from using Page Rank as the defining aspect of how important a website is.

The number one important thing here is that we learn about what is important, and that is traffic.

Traffic means that a website is important, not just what ranking that website has, but how many people find that website useful.

That is the most important part of any website.

Time is money as the old saying goes, and we all have the same time

How much time do you spend on marketing and posting online.

If you knew that you only had so much time in the day, and you knew that your life and the choices you make have a direct impact on how you life that life, would you choose to do your work faster?

Amazing information, do you spend enough time developing your word press website.

How much time do you have?  If you are like most people you need more than you have.

If you spend 80 hours making just a few dollars, and you do the math you end up making like 1.51 cents per hour, tell me is that really worth your time?

If you are like the rest of us, you have 24 hours in a day…

You have to look at life this way because if you don’t you will run out of both, if time is money are you broke all the time?

Time is what it is, and unlike real estate, they are not making any more of it, time is time once it is over it is done.

You bet it is, for every min of every day you spend, it is costing you money.

Want to know my secret?  Want to know how to produce the best content.

I made a discovery about writing and blogging, and it is really very simple, the more content you post or write about, the more traffic you get from search engines.

Simple right?

Sure, easiest thing in the world, so to prove a point, I started posting to all my websites, every day, multiple times a day and one thing I discovered, right away, it was work.

Yes, work, you have to post the page, you have to write the post, often check your spelling, unless your a spelling bee champion, spelling is not as easy as it looks.

But you know what, I noticed, that the more content I posted, the more traffic I would get, so I doubled my content, and my traffic doubled, but guess what I was spending hours creating content, and it was work.

Nothing wrong with that but again, this is not what I wanted, to have to slave all day hour after hour posting to a website, all day long.

So, I began to examine, what was taking so much of my time and you know what I found out, the wordpress user interface, itself, was taking a lot of my time.

Each time you get ready to post content there are multiple page loads involved, a page load, happens every time, you look at one different page, and there are several each time you get ready to post content.

Why I am lazy and why I want to work smart not hard.

First I am Lazy, sorry for those that may think less of me, but I suspect that I am not alone, I would rather work smarter than to work harder, give me that anytime.

So, I started looking at all the posts, on one blog alone I had over 5000 posts, most of these posts were just sitting deep inside my wordpress blog, and yes people were still looking over the content but for the most part, these posts were buried so deep that no one, not even the search engines knew the posts even existed.

I then had a revelation, why not raise these posts from the dead?

How hard could it be anyway, well, it proved a little harder than I thought it would be, in fact, it was like wordpress intentionally made it hard to do.

I began to look at this strictly from a users view point,

1. First you have to click on the posts category.
2. then you have to find and locate the posts you want.
3. then you have to edit the post.
4. then you have to update the post.

That is four page loads, a webpage has to load each time, ok I understand, but what about all those options on the page, at first when you click update, I realized that the post, was still buried, at the bottom of the pile.

Think of posts like a stack of cards.

Where all the cards on the bottom of the deck never again reach the surface.

what you have is dead posts, and if you want to really resurrect, those posts you have to make even more changes.

5. you have to click on the published tab, (over there to the far right  hand side)

6. Then you have to change the date and time of the post, and guess what, the time on the server may not be the time that you are actually editing that post, (more on why that may matter later)

7.  Click on OK, and then you have to click on update.

So there you go, I realized that it takes several actions, just to revive, one post, was it really worth it, because I have to add so much to a post before you can consider it as a new post, I did a little research and found that on average you need to add two paragraphs, or at least 140 to 200 or more characters, notice I said characters, and these characters must be meaningful to the reader, and to the search engines.

But I was not easily deterred, I slogged on, posting and adding to content reviving post after post, and you know what I realized that the more posts I revived, the better my traffic began to get, I realized that by “RePosting” content that I was able to effectively take advantage of several factors, one of which is how often your website content is updated.

Did you know that search engines look not only for new content but also for revised content…

I will give you a second for that to sink in, just a second that will hit you in a moment.

Yes, I realized that I could post a new article three times a day, and it could be the best articles in the world but I would still only be getting credit for that new article and nothing more.

In the search engines eyes, I was a good little website posting good original content, so I got some traffic, but I did not get credit for updating and revising my content, yes, virginia there is a santa clause, and his name is updating old posts, I hope that made you smile, but really, seriously, get this, because it is really important.

You can get extra credit for the recycling the old posts on your website and turning them into new content, complete with a new date and time, (pretty much brand new content)  yes, you can have your cake and eat it too.

How to Get Your Messages Posted on Blogs

Most blog owners are actively managing their blogs and they will instantly delete any message that has even a small resemblance to anything commercial or spam.

Here are a few useful tips on how to promote your website through your blog messages without making your comments sound like a sales pitch:

* Make sure to actually read some of the posts on that blog and create a custom message to suit the context. Don’t go with a template comment as that will quickly backfire and chances are a large majority of your posts will get deleted within days.

* Don’t place a lot of links in your message. One is enough. If the blog allows HTML, make sure to insert a keyword rich description in the link anchor, as that will boost your page rankings even further.

* Add valuable content with your message. You know how important article submissions are and how blog owners are used to posting whole article on their blog. Do the same with your message – don’t post a 2-line message. Instead, create an article-like comment that brings some updated news on a particular topic and then adapt this message to the context of the blog you are posting on.

* It’s a good idea to select 30-40 blogs that have high traffic and excellent search engine rankings and be a constant poster. At first, convince the blog owners that you are not a spammer by posting relevant comments without any links or promotional language. Once you prove to be “one of the team” you can insert some non-intrusive links to your website, which they will produce excellent results!
