There is a problem that could become a very serious problem for Google,
Updating content
How important is updating content online?
It could be more important than anyone ever realized.
People think that they understand but in reality, they really do not understand it at all…
The average blog content should be updated,
every day, twice a day.
The thing is that most of the time it is not practical to update a website twice a day for one thing it takes a lot of work and effort to produce good content and that has made writing one of the most important things that a webmaster can do.
Content has become extremely important, not only the quality and the value of that content but also the freshness of that content. In a day and age when Google dominates the search engine results, no one would have believed, that there would be a bing or that yahoo and bing might one day combine forces to perhaps make a big dent in the google monopoly.
People started getting tired of results that did not match up with what they were looking for.
Bing saw this as an opportunity to provide better results without all the advertising and distractions, and yet they have not really made a big difference, at least so far, they still are trying to take more from google, and that is why google started making changes in the way that they produce results for searchers, however has it worked?
Kajabi dead in the water?
You guys remember Kajabi, yes, sure you do it was allegedly a hyped up super monster that would make you rich…
But did it make hundreds of people rich?
Why is it that no one ever seems to go back and examine the hype and claims of these Super Gurus that come out from what ever hole they hide in every once in a while with a super millionaire maker product that every on must buy so they can be rich too, (slight exaggeration, but probably and allegedly accurate)
I find it mildly amusing to watch these Super Heroes, come out and jump over tall buildings, then crash and burn, in a heap of burning server parts and flaky software that frankly never lives up to the hype it is marketed, (allegedly)
After yet another big time Guru Garbage, product launch, we are now post launch and as usual there is little or no real information on how successfull jabi is or is not.
Well folks, the news has hit the bricks and Jabi, just did not hold up, too bad so sad, they just did not make the kind of money they wanted, allegedly, but still they managed to sign up a few hundred, allegedly, not the thousands they allegedly claimed to have signed up but allegedly only a few hundred, money down the toilet, money up in smoke, where is cheech and chong when you need them.
Dont you just hate those Jedi mind tricks, well apparently and allegedly ol unkie, andie, is at it again with yet another, massively, expensive, products launches, where sheeple are skinned alive.
Jabi, continues to struggle allegedly barely treading water, amazing stuff here folks, finally the sheeple may be getting a head for all this hype stuff.
Update, the first signs that they might be desperate have surfaced, they claim that thousands have signed up but they still send out an email inviting more people, which means allegedly only one thing, they might be lying.
Could Ol, couszin, Andy have made a huge error in estimating the market?
This could be one of the worst thought out, Guru launches I have ever seen, total stupidity.
Allegedly, because for some reason, which apparently only “they know” sometimes the old saying “pride comes before a fall”
Well in this case I must confess that it appears accurate.
Ok, perhaps you have heard of the latest and greatest Guru Launch or not.
As many of you are by now aware, there is a new product launch, that is allegedly way over hyped, or perhaps it is just enthusiasm.
Either way, I wanted to have a look at the sales process, mostly because it is of interest how these programs work to enslave the buyer, opps sorry that was a bad word, perhaps I should say, the methods they use to enhance the buyers interest.
As an Expert in Marketing, and I do mean that, I am old school, back in the days, of trade shows, and cold calling, business customers, this was back in the 1980s yes, before all these so called marketing Gurus were still in high school picking their noses in biology class.
Yes, I am one of those Old guys, from the days of Yore.
This is a very similure product to several “shopping cart solutions” but this has at times past been marketed, with some success, at least for those that were collecting the money.
The problem with all these (high priced) marketing opportunities, is that they rely on several things that the product does not provide you the paying customer.
Traffic, Product and the actual framework for success.
Yes, the product is impressive, or at least the video is, who knows for sure, but you really do have to do more than to just build it and they will come, actually they will not come.
People are way too concerned with the need to actually feed their families, this is part of what the big time famous Gurus have forgotton, greed can no longer be counted on for a sales pitch, and that is what most Gurus have done over the last two years, is rely on greed to sell a product.
I do not recommend this alleged product, simply because it is filled with eye candy and little if any real content, yes, the video is impressive but look beyond the hype and the eye candy for a moment, look at what this actually is.
An Amalgamation, of everything a good marketer already has in stock.
Yes, it is an alleged rehash, but in a different way, yes it could be good but it is allegedly, not good, because of the price point.
Now, make no mistake, if a man will not tell you what the price is, there is only one reason, it is because allegeldy he is ashamed to tell it.
Have you ever been driving up and down the road, and see a classic car for sale, but there was no price displayed, most of the time you just do not stop because you know that the price is going to be so high that you cannot possibly afford it.
If they wanted to really sell the car they would put a price on it.
This is true of anything, if you want to really sell a thing, you have to price it, otherwise people will not take the time to stop what they are doing and take the time to ask you what you want.
Here is a for instance, there were two cars for sale less than one mile apart on the same road, both were trucks, both the same color, one had a price tag of $900.00 the other had just a for sale sign on it,
Guess which truck sold first.
You bet the one with the price listed, because people saw it and knew it to be a great value, they stopped, and looked, that is what you need to do these days in order to get a sale, you have to get the price point right.
If you fail in this regard you could have millions of people as your affiliate but you will not be successful, simply because you have failed in one of the most important sales tenats, and that is to not waste the customers time.
The customers time is just as valuable as your time is, in some cases it is more valuable than yours is simply because they often will not give you a second chance.
So all this smoke and mirror, marketing Guru Gargabe, is not impressive to me it is a Failure, They failed, and this project will be a failure as well.
Simply because there are already too many of these “shopping cart” scripts and products, out there, remember stomper net, ( how is that working out for you guys? )
Oh, yes, they will have lots of press, in the IM world, but sadly in the end, it will be just like most of these Guru Garbage Dreams, the producer will make some money and there will be a few success stories, (fact or fiction) who knows for sure, one thing is clear, this is not for the average marketer, at all. If you have an established, Brick and Mortar store, and you have a “LOT of experience” then this may be a good option, but for say an average, of 90 percent of the “average Joe marketer” this is not that.
But if you prepared to dump thousands of dollars into an expensive and unproven product, where they are afriad to even publish the price before a certain “date” then go right ahead, as for me and my house we will save out money.
Sadly I cannot recommend this product, and I will not be providing any links to it, you can easily google it, or chances are you have at least ten or so emails in your mail box by now and already there are tons of Adsense ads out there promising all kinds of bonus, options, the best bonus in your life if you buy this alleged, over priced over alleged, hyped, product, but in reality, this is already available out there at a cheaper price, yes, you heard it right, you can get all this stuff for less money than you will pay for this Guru Garbage, what you are buying is the convenience of having it under one roof.
The Sad thing here is that they just dont seem to Get, us average Marketers, were the ones that make the IM world go round, not the few and the proud, but the average Joe marketers, these are the real customers, hopefully and eventually we will see that fact reflected in both the price and the actual sales strategies, in the future, until that time enjoy those long and boring videos that the Guru Garbage company has made for you.
content generation mangement
There is a stream of thought that has recently become more intense among some larger websites that have in the past been compared with the dreaded, “content farm” status allegedly developed by Google to identify some websites that do not provide extreme value to its readers.
Some of these websites, include, Ezine Articles, and a lot of other article directory websites, AKA, allegedly (content farms) now to combat this rather vague determination a lot of these websites have instituted stringent guides that are said to increase the value of the content being offered, much of these guides is said to eliminate 90 percent, (allegedly) of average readable content.
It would be nice if we were all English Majors and used perfect English in all our thoughts and all our conversations, but that is not the real world.
In the real world much of the way we communicate is in an average dialog, much like many books read, we like the familiar, we like the normal, it is comforting, so when you start to see something that is not normal being presented as if it were normal, then you have to begin to wonder how so many content creators can make the assumption that all content must now be perfect, but that is not what the real world is like.
When you look at a New York Times best seller, and you see mistakes, in the editing, knowing that a book is also not perfect, it just makes sense that website content will also often have some level of mistakes, since people are by our very natures not perfect, the idea of finding perfection in a websites language is just well silly.
So, in the short term, this idea of perfect content may seem like a good thing but once, the people begin to navigate away from some of these “perfect” websites, because the content may not be logical or even understandable, “human readable” we think that eventually what will happen is that Google and other search engines like Bing, will change the way they rank websites.
Personally we just like the idea of being human and so free to speak as a human speaks.
We think it just makes sense to be normal and understandable…
the pattern
Have you ever walked in the snow on a cold day?
What you see when you look behind you is a pattern of where you have been and what you have done.
What if everything you do leaves a trail…

patterns make a different in how your website is developed online
In many ways, the way that modern metrics and website analytic’s, work can make or break your website.
The internet is much the same way, when you update a website, when you add a post, when you link to an image, everything you do leaves a trail to what you have been doing and it is this that can help or hurt your website development efforts.
The DNA of the internet is a fine grained thing, that is layered from within and without.
First you might want to know what the pattern is, well that is anything that leaves a foot print, or a pattern, that can be analyzed, by a computer.
Did you know that just about anything that you do can be attributed to a pattern, including what time of day you post to your blog.
We dont like spiders and snakes, ok sure we get that, but spiders can be your blogs best friend, more so when that spiders name is google, so just in case your not a super geek, here is the word on spiders.
Spiders are little robots, that search the web, and they go up and down and all around, looking for cool webpages, well like this one. So when they find a nice website, they report back and they go all around the website, like strands on a web, and then it reports back all the pages and links, like a web and what do spiders like best, lots of webpages.
So now you can see a little bit about how spiders work, to find your website and report back to the mother spider, in this case google about what it found when it views your website.
It checks all kinds of things, when the last post was made, what the content was it found, the time of day, the last post was made, yep it gets all kinds of information and it starts developing a pattern after a while it knows just when to check back to your website to see when it expects to find new content.
Yes that are that smart.
So now you know what developing a pattern may be a good and a bad thing, because what if you dont update your website as often as you should well then the spider will not visit your website as often.
That is bad, because if the spider does not come very often to see if your website has new content then your search results will not get into the search engines as often.
The more your website gets updated the more visitors the nice and friendly spider will send you.
You want more and more visitors to your website since without visitors things get old and dusty and well its just not as fun then.
Perhaps you can see how important it is to keep your website updated on a regular basis and why you want to keep the spiders happy.
So what about the pattern, well there are two patterns, one is good the other is bad.
We already discussed the good pattern, you know keeping the spider happy so they send you lots of visitors to your frequently updated webpages.
So lets talk about the bad patterns, that would be patterns that the spiders identify that tells them that your website is not really spider friendly.
here is a list, that we found seems to be good to avoid.
1. not enough updates, webpages are never updated and just sit there.
2. auto blog content, auto posters that develop patterns, over and over, (spiders hate auto posters)
3. No new content, just the same old content from all over the web, (spiders hate “duplicate” content)
Some people think that auto posters are lazy and in fact they really are lazy, but worse than that, if the spiders figure out that your website is an auto posting website, they will stop coming to your site, or worse they will decide that your website is not worth the trouble of visiting.
Then your in real trouble, because no matter how hard you work on your website, no matter how much money you spend on it, no matter how many ebook you buy and no matter how many Gurus tell you to do this or that it will not matter.
Because you developed the wrong pattern.
See how this works, the problem is that developing the right patterns can be work, you have to actually type words onto your computer to get it on the website.
That is work, We figure that it should be that way, because really there is no free lunch, (someone has to pay) either you pay now or you pay later, we figure its best to develop the good pattern.
What do you think?
Video Advertising
Video is becoming one of the most popular methods of effective communication online.
read more below because advertising as you know it has changed forever.
What you may not know about advertising using video could hurt your business.
800 Million people view videos every day…
If you are not using Video to reach your customers you are way behind the game.
How I update my website faster than you do..
One reason is just plain human, I am Lazy…
Using the right tools can make all the difference just as using the wrong tools can really hurt your online website efforts. Many webmasters try to take the short cut instead of finding the right way to do the job.
Why the volume model is better but harder to develop.
Volume can make you money online, however, how do you manage a lot of websites when it can take hours out of your day to update just a handful of websites.
Blogging can be fun but it can also be hard, it is not always easy to deliver fresh content day after day however, it is possible to update your existing content and improve your website and its articles.
Developing a website is all about keeping that website fresh and full of good content, do that and you will never fail to get great traffic.
We found that when you have several websites that updating your content takes a lot of time and effort, some of that effort was just wasted time, we noticed that there was an additional webpage load, that was taking place, and we thought why are we sitting here waiting for a page to load that we do not need.
The answer to that helped us create a new plugin, it is not the best plugin in the world but it helps us update many websites.
That is the key to keeping up to date and generating great content day after day.
have a look at this video to see the plugin in action.
