There are a lot of methods of creating content online today in fact, you can do a search for PLR material and obtain millions of text based articles.

Have you noticed that some people seem to be able to create content quickly and easily, in fact it almost seems like they can just effortlessly, create content with such little effort.

The truth is that you can do the same thing, it just requires practice.

You can create content, in fact anyone can create content, however creating great content may take practice, even the best authors, have people that edit the work they produce and since most of the writing public are not Stephen king, you cannot expect to be able to hire your own editor, or in Stevens case, allegedly fire your editor, more than once.

Writing is a process, and often that process can get interrupted, the phone rings, or the washer goes off and you have to do some work or someone rings the door bell.

These distractions are a part of life yet for the most part a professional writer does not have to deal with these issues, but as a part time writer, you do.

So, how do you as a part time writer, figure out how to be productive without having an editor and a publisher looking out for you.

Simple you have to wear a different hat, and for most people that is not as easy as it might sound.

So, lets talk about the steps to successfully writing and publishing, while having to put on or prepare to think differently about what your doing, for instance, the editors hat, which is probably the hardest hat to fit into to.

To put on the editors hat you have to think differently, in fact you have to become a great speller and a grammar expert, a critic and you have to take the long view about what your doing, in other words, you have to look at the entire work.

That may be hard to do indeed some people find it is the hardest thing to do, because it means that you have to criticize your own work, this is usually a hard thing for most people to do, because lets face it we are human and we are proud of what we do.

However, the editor needs to put all that aside and think about the over all writing work, the editor needs to put aside that part of the writers, job and seek to analyze the entire work, read the work and see if everything is fitting together.

You have to ask does it flow, or is it choppy, by choppy we mean does it move from one topic to another, or does it jerk about from one thought to another with out making a connection.

These are all things that an editor, has to do in order to analyze the work before them, and in your case it is your own work, so that makes it harder to do, but you have to do it, so press onward, once you have your editors hat firmly on and you begin to look at the work you may see things that need to be done differently.

That is when you know your ready to edit, make a change here make a change there.

Add a little here subtract a little there and work to make it better to make it read smoothly, from topic to topic from sentence to sentence.

Yes, it is easier to say it than it is to actually do it but it takes practice, and the more you wear that editors hat the easier it is to put that hat on the next time your get ready to edit your work.

The reality is that without traffic, real qualified, traffic, you know the type where a visitor comes and visits your website, just like they would if they came to your door as a friend and knocked on the door.

You might be thinking that this guy does not like Gurus, well that would be a yes, mostly because I have been around for a while now, “this taint my first rodeo”, yes, I have been taken advantage of probably just like you have, approaching the gates of Gold, with a smile just knowing that you will soon be successful, because you wanted to believe in the dream, you wanted to find the place where all the dreams come true.

That place does exist, but it is not easy to find the path to it.

The same way that traffic is important, the website is also important if you have a dull lifeless design, you may get some traffic but eventually they will tire of the same old same old, and stop coming, and then your dream will die a slow and painful death.

Now before you leave, I want you to get one thing, and since you are still reading this then you have invested some time that is good, because that means that you have been through the Guru Gauntlet, and survived, you are beginning to see through all the Guru lies, sadly it is very difficult for most people to get to this place because they want to believe the guru promises, so badly that they fail to see what is right in front of their faces.

The very real fact that this business requires work.

Yes, I said it the W word, work, work work, there I said it three times now, it requires work, perhaps even perspiration.  If you mouth is hanging open right now close it, before a fly gets in there, (just kidding) but you know what I mean here, the idea that you have to work is a foreign one for most people.

What?  You mean that I have to work?

The money will not just appear in my bank account as if by magic, while I sleep?

Well, ask yourself this, how many Guru products have you purchased?

Now I want you to think about how many of those promises you have seen broken….

Every single one, why, because they show you one thing but fail to provide the real deal.

You can sell a dream no problem but in order to make that dream into a reality you have to really work.

Here is another thing, you may have to work really hard to make that dream pay off.

Here is the central truth here, unless you are prepared to work you may as well just give up.

Yes, save your money, because you can do better saving your money in the bank than depending on a Guru product promise, because it is snake oil, it is thin air, it is false promises.

Traffic is what makes it all possible, and yes you do have to have a nice website, and a good host, and a good product, but to make it all work, you need traffic, without traffic none of it works and it never will.

Have a look around, take a look at the videos, see what you can see because this is where the real deal is at, and it is not easy, to get, but it can be found and you can succeed, you may not and you should not expect to get rich over night, but it can happen, if you are prepared to put the sweat and blood, of work into what you do.

Just remember that the next time you see a Guru, offering Riches and Wealth and that sports car in the drive way of that fancy house, just remember that most of the time they live in their mothers basement…

Did you know that most people do not even know the basics of updating a website?

Uploading, updating, creating more content, it is all part of what you need to do to get your website noticed by search engines.

Websites need many things, the most important of these is not content but Fresh content.

One of the most important things you can do for your website is to keep it updated, that includes fresh content, fresh posting, fresh content on your pages.

So the question is manifold, how do the search engines, gather information based on a website if it is updated with fresh content on a regular basis?

How does that effect the page rank of a website…

We wanted to understand a few things about how blogging works and why it is so important to keep your website updated, so we started an experiment, we wanted to learn more about what methods would produce more results and which methods would not produce results.

We tested out many different methods, we setup several websites, some we updated on a regular basis others, we just left alone.

What we found was that the more often a website was updated, the more traffic that website received.

This was not a surprise to us, we knew that it only makes sense that the more often a website was updated, the most often that website would show up higher in the search engine rankings, that only makes sense.

The thing is this, we wanted to understand just how important it was, so we took some other websites, and we updated them as often as it made sense, so now we have three sets of websites, one set, we just left alone, the other we created fresh content and updated it often, and the last set of websites, we just updated, without adding content.

As expected, and not surprisingly, we discovered that the website that contained fresh content along with updated content received more traffic, now that may seem like a cool and interesting study, however, what we discovered about this will challenge your beliefs about Google and the high and mighty PR, (page rank for the newbies).

Websites that had a higher PR, but was updated just as often as the lower PR websites, got less traffic than websites with lower PR.

That challenges the belief, that Page rank is the most important things in life, in fact even Google has begun to suggest that the idea that page rank is the be all end all of web master Yoga may not be justified.

In fact our own findings suggested that Page rank may not have nearly as much significance, as we used to think looking at traffic logs, we found that just because the High and mighty google assigned a high PR for a webpage, does not mean that it actually gets good traffic.

What, no way I thought that High PR meant that the website automatically gets traffic like you cant believe.

It gets lots of clicks, it is just the most important thing in the universe.

Surprise, Page rank has almost nothing to do with how much traffic that website gets…

Which is probably one reason why google is moving away from using Page Rank as the defining aspect of how important a website is.

The number one important thing here is that we learn about what is important, and that is traffic.

Traffic means that a website is important, not just what ranking that website has, but how many people find that website useful.

That is the most important part of any website.
